MORE NATURE SCORES ANOTHER ONE
Middletown, NY - The rain continues to slow down Donny Schatz and the Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws (WoO). Sunday's event at Orange County Fair Speedway in Middletown, New York became the 13th event of the season affected by weather. Persistent rain caused for the cancellation of the race and marked the third night in a row the series was washed out after a pair of unsuccessful efforts at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday and Saturday night.
Schatz, who charged from 17th to finish second on Thursday night, will return to action on Friday night at The Dirt Track at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Concord, N.C.

SCHATZ RACES TO SECOND IN GROVE OPENER
Mechanicsburg, PA (May 15) - Donny Schatz continued his success at Williams Grove Speedway on Thursday night racing to a second place finish in the Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws event. Schatz and the Tony Stewart Racing (TSR) team overcame adversity throughout the night and scored their ninth consecutive top-10 to start the season.
"One spot better would have been a good night, but we'll have to take second tonight," said Schatz, following his fifth second place finish of the season. "We had a part failure during our first qualifying lap, but my guys hustled and got me a car that was fast enough to set quick time. The car was really good in the feature and we just took them one at time. I thought I had a chance on the final restart, but the guy in front me was more worried about who was behind him rather than looking forward." |
