WEEKEND SWEEP FOR SCHATZ
ROSSBURG, OH - Donny Schatz capped off the month of May the way he started it...in victory lane. On Saturday night, Schatz raced to a thrilling victory at Tony Stewart's Eldora Speedway by overtaking race-long leader Jason Meyers with four laps remaining in the 30-lap feature event.
Schatz started the Tony Stewart Racing (TSR) No. 15 Armor All/Chevy/ParkerStore J&J fifth and immediately began his charge to the front. On lap four, he went from fourth into second by passing Terry McCarl and Joey Saldana coming out of turn four. Over the next 20 laps he chased Meyers until finally making the winning pass coming out of turn two late in the race.
We try to win every night out, Schatz said, following the victory. Tony
(Stewart) has put forth the worlds greatest effort to build me a good
team, and to build a team that was capable of where I was last year,
which was on top of the world. If you ask me, right now, this race team
is on top of the world and then some, from where it was. We really want
to do what we can get him victories. First and foremost we want to see
the (No.) 20 car getting wins. It would be ideal for us to be racing
each other for wins. Were excited to be on top again.
The victory was his 73rd career "A" feature WoO triumph and his third in 2008 following Friday night's win at Attica Raceway Park.
Schatz will return to action Friday at Knoxville (Iowa) Raceway for two nights of racing at the historic half-mile oval and then conclude the weekend with a one-night program at Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach, Illinois.

Schatz Sizzles at Attica: Picks up Second Win of 2008
by Tony Veneziano
Attica, OH May 30, 2008 Donny Schatz not only had 23 other drivers
chasing him on Friday night, but he also had Mother Nature knocking at
his door, as she tried her best to derail the Advance Auto Parts World
of Outlaws Sprint Car Series event at Attica Raceway Park in Attica,
Ohio. Schatz would not be outdone, as he bested the field and the
weather at the high-banked 1/3-mile to score his second A-Feature win
of the season and the 72nd of his World of Outlaws career.
Schatz took the lead from Paul McMahan on the high side of the track on
the 11th lap, exiting the fourth turn as he charged down the front
straightaway and quickly began to pull away. He would endure a couple
of cautions over the course of the 40-lap contest, but strong restarts
each time kept him handily in front of the field aboard the Armor All
J&J for Tony Stewart Racing.. With the win, Schatz remained the
only Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series driver that
has finished in the Top-10 in all 13 events this season.
It was a good night for us, said Schatz. We keep working hard to get
that feel I like back and each day we keep making big strides. I think
we have our hand on what it is, and I am very excited about that.

Buckeye Nights
Donny Schatz Returns to Ohio for a Pair of World of Outlaws Events
In Tony Stewart Racing's Armor All Chevy Sprinter
INDIANAPOLIS (May 28, 2008) Momentum is a big
factor in just about every sport, and it certainly plays a factor in the world
of auto racing. Following the Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint
Series recent three-race weekend, it would seem the 2008 campaign is finally
gaining steam after Mother Nature affected 15 of the first 22 races scheduled.
This weekend, two-time defending WoO champion Donny Schatz and the Tony Stewart
Racing (TSR) team welcome warmer weather and the challenge of consecutive races
on contrasting high-banked dirt ovals in Ohio.
The upcoming events offer
Schatz, who will pilot the No. 15 Armor All/Chevy/ParkerStore J&J, the
opportunity to race both on a small bullring and a high-speed momentum track.
First, hell take on some of Ohios
best racers Friday night in the Kistler
Engines Classic at Attica (Ohio) Raceway Park. The weekend will continue as the
Outlaws stars make their second 2008 stop at Tony Stewarts Eldora
Speedway in Rossburg on Saturday night.
