SCHATZ NAMED FIRST TEAM AARWBA All AMERICAN
FARGO, N.D. – Following his fifth World of Outlaws championship, the accolades continue to roll in for Donny Schatz. On Monday, he was named first team AARWBA All American by the American Auto Racing Writers & Broadcasters Association.
The group has named All American teams since the conclusion of the 1970 season. Schatz and USAC champion Bryan Clauson were recognized as the two drivers in the short track division.
Other first team selections included: Ryan Hunter-Reay, Will Power, Scott Pruett, Memo Rojas, Brad Keselowski, Jimmie Johnson, Antron Brown, Jack Beckman and James Buescher.
It marked the fifth time in his career that Schatz was named first team All America.
